GAMSAT Section 2: Written Communication
A 10 week workbook course from a qualified English teacher who sat the exam herself, then spent 11 years coaching aspiring doctors.
Why this course
Most people sit Section 2 with a few good ideas and no reliable method. This course gives you a method, then makes you practise it until it holds up on the day.
- A clear structure. MIRROR C for Task B, and PEEEL (with PEEEEL as the extension) for building paragraphs, with antithesis and rebuttal worked in.
- Support that fades. Each week begins with plenty of scaffolding and gradually takes it away, so you finish writing on your own.
- Exam conditions. Timed essays begin in Week 4, and the final weeks rehearse the real thing. The exam is typed, so you practise that way.
- A revision order that works. Clarity first, then depth, then precision.
- Built for different brains. Clear steps, scaffolding that fades gradually, and times in minutes, so you always know what to do next.
About LRT
I sat the GAMSAT myself, with a career in medicine in mind. When disability changed that path, I put the same passion into helping others get there. LRT was established 11 years ago in Brisbane and now works with students Australia wide.
I'm a qualified teacher of English, English as an additional language or dialect, and French. Hundreds of students have worked with me. Tens are now junior doctors across Australia, one is in Ireland, and the first is now an anaesthetics fellow at a major Brisbane hospital.
Feedback Sessions
Every option can include Feedback Sessions: a focused session of up to 30 minutes on one of your own essays, worked through together. You send the essay at least 24 hours beforehand, so the time goes to your writing and not to new content.
Feedback sessions review your work. They aren't lessons. Sessions are neurodivergent friendly: structured, predictable and paced to suit you.

Questions
Does this predict my score?
No. It builds skills and habits, and no course can promise a result.
How long do I have access?
There is no end date, for as long as LRT continues to offer the course.
Can I download the lessons?
No. Lessons are read inside the course, and they work best on a larger screen. The exam is typed, so a laptop is best.
Where can I find 1:1 lessons?
Email me through the contact page and we will talk about what you need.
