Privacy Policy

What LRT collects, why, and what you can ask me to do with it.

What I collect

  • Your name and email address when you create an account or enrol, including for the free Week 1.
  • Payment details, which are handled by our payment provider. I do not see or store your card number.
  • The essays you send for Feedback Sessions, and any notes you share about what helps you learn.
  • Emails you send me, your booking details, and, where Notetaker is used, recordings, transcripts and notes of your Feedback Session.

Why I collect it

To run your course and sessions, take payment, give feedback on your writing, reply to your questions, and send course emails such as your welcome and access messages. I do not sell your information.

Who else handles it

The course runs on Thinkific, which stores your account and course progress. Payments go through Thinkific Payments. Email is handled by Microsoft 365. Bookings are handled by Calendly, which also provides an AI notetaker (see below). These providers may store data outside Australia. I choose providers that publish their own privacy and security practices.

Your essays

Essays are used only to give you feedback. I keep them for 12 months after your session, then delete them. You can ask me to delete them sooner. If you record a session, that recording is yours to keep and is not shared by me.

AI notetaker and session recordings

I may use Calendly Notetaker to record and transcribe Feedback Sessions and to help prepare your written summary. This means your voice, anything you say, and the essay discussed may appear in the recording, transcript or notes. These are stored by Calendly, which may hold data outside Australia. I use them only to give you feedback, and I delete recordings, transcripts and notes within 12 months of your session. You will be told before your session that Notetaker is in use, and you can ask me to switch it off beforehand. You can also ask me to delete a recording or transcript at any time.

Marketing emails

I send course emails you need as a student. Any other emails will include an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Testimonials

I only publish a review or quote from you with your permission, and you can withdraw it by email.

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information I hold about you. Email contact@lrtuition.com.au and I will reply within 30 days. Some payment and tax records must be kept for several years by law.

Complaints

Please contact me first so I can fix it. You can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Security

I use password-protected accounts and reputable providers. No online system is perfectly secure, so please tell me straight away if you suspect a problem.
